Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Blaster Repair Services
It’s not uncommon for us to hear about blasters still in use that are older than our repair technicians. From the original MicroBlaster to our more advanced powerhouse, the AccuFlo, all Comco equipment has been designed with careful consideration of the inherently destructive abrasive process. It’s a robust system, but also engineered to make those inevitable wear parts easily replaceable.
Much like your car which needs periodic oil changes, tire rotations, or new brake pads to keep it running well, keeping your blasting equipment running as smoothly as the day you bought it also requires some periodic maintenance.

DIY versus factory Service
Our tune-up kits are a great way to perform regular maintenance on your machine. Our tutorials, like this one on the PowderGate valve, are a great resource for performing routine maintenance.
But, we know maintenance work is not something everyone has the time or desire to execute on their own. Also, depending the age or state of your machine, leaving it to the experts is a much more efficient approach to repair work.
Why Choose factory Repair?
Full inspection with diagnostic testing
Our service technicians not only know what to look for, but have specialized tools for pinpointing problem areas.
Expert repair
Our service technicians have decades of experience working with our full line of blasters from building them to disassembling, cleaning and repairing them.
Extended warranty
Have the peace of mind your equipment will return to you in tip-top shape; we guarantee it. All repairs come with a 90-day warranty.

Ready to send in your Machine?
Let our experts take care if it for you! If you’d like to send in your equipment for factory repair, here’s what to do:
Step 1: Contact us about your equipment
It’s essential to:
• provide us with info on any issues with the machine
• let us know the serial number of the machine
• get an RMA number from us
What’s an RMA number? A Return Material Authorization (RMA) number lets us know what’s coming so when your equipment arrives it goes to the right place and we know who to contact about it.
Note: There is a $100 inspection fee, which is waived if you proceed with repairs.
Step 2: Send it in
Pack up your equipment, write the RMA number on the shipping box, and send it to us:
Comco – RMA# ______ – 2151 N. Lincoln St., Burbank, CA 91504

Step 3: Review and appprove
We’ll reach out to you with the results of our inspection to let you know what needs to be done. You can review these findings and approve the repair.
Note: in some cases, due to excessive wear, age or exposure to contaminants, a trade-in for a new machine may be the best course of action. Comco offers credit toward the purchase of a new machine for those blasters not salvageable. Whether your blaster needs a little or a lot of work, our service technicians will let you know what to expect so that you can make the decision that best meets your needs and budget.

Automated Systems
If you have an Advanced Lathe or JetCenter, in addition to technical support by phone or email, we can offer two options for servicing these automated platforms:
Factory Overhaul
You can send in your automated system for service or repair the same as you can for individual blasters. This gives us the best resources to diagnose issues. Factory service also means having all the necessary tools and replacement parts on hand to service your equipment quickly.
service call
For certain types of repairs or upgrades, our service engineers can visit your site to perform work on your automated system.
Contact us to determine which type of service is best fits for your needs.
